High Holidays

High Holiday services at Shaarei Tikvah are meaningful, musical and highly participatory, with a full schedule of services for children.  Open seating for ticket holders in our beautiful sanctuary. Visitors welcome, with the cost of tickets applied to membership for those who join.  We offer free tickets for families whose oldest child is in preschool (our Tot services begin at 10:45 on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.) Join us in celebrating Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with songs, prayers, a Torah march, story time, holiday friendly crafts.  A snack of challah, apples, water and grape juice will be provided during the service.

Junior Congregation

Children (K-6th grade)

The Junior Congregation service offers children an opportunity to explore the themes of the High Holidays with their peers.  Led by our experienced and energetic group leaders, we will provide fun, educational programs for your children while you attend services.  Each group will enjoy age appropriate games, stories, discussions, prayers and songs.  A snack of challah, grape juice, honey and apples will be provided on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

K-2nd grade led by Sara Doar, Moving Traditions Leader and former Religious School teacher

3rd-6th grade led by Jacob Sandler, Rosh Musica (music teacher) in the religious school and current JTS cantorial student
