Every family has a story of how they arrived in America, whether it was a few months, years, decades, or centuries ago. Journeys: An American Story celebrates the vastness and variety of immigration tales in America, featuring seventy-two essays about the different ways we got here. Tisch will discuss his book, its resonance in our current environment and answer questions in an informal setting. The discussion will provide important perspective for our Social Justice Committee work on immigration. Andrew Tisch, a Scarsdale native, is Co-Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Loews Corporation. An active philanthropist, he participates in Jewish communal affairs through the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (trustee/executive committee), the Jewish Leadership Forum (founding chairman), and the Jewish Business Leadership Forum (founder).
